Social Work Week 2017

The School of Social Work at King’s is celebrating Social Work Week beginning Friday, March 3rd

We kick things off with professional development programming in the morning (see full details at here). This year’s theme is Medical Assistance in Death: Join the Conversation.  If you would like to register for the whole morning, PAOA/Staff/Faculty may register at the reduced rate of $10.00 (Student Rate) which covers the cost of refreshments.  If you are willing to forgo the refreshments, you may be interested in attending just the keynote address:

Friday, March 3rd from 9:00 – 10:15 am

Dr. Eunice Gorman will give our keynote address:   Assisted Suicide and MAiD in Canada.   Location: Kenny Theatre.

Tuesday, March 7th at 12:20 pm

Please join us to acknowledge Dr. Peter Donahue, who is this year’s recipient of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW) Inspirational Leader Award.  Cake and coffee will be served.  No RSVP needed.  Location: Spriet Learning Commons in the Student Life Centre.
